Thailand - Part 4

It was my last week in Thailand and I just wanted to relax, do yoga and prepare myself to go back home after one year.

Koh Samui

My first stop was Koh Samui and although it was a bit disappointing, I enjoyed my motorbike ride around the island so much. I went to the waterfall and to the beaches around and although the island was packed with tourists, I enjoyed the quietness of some spots.

Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is well-known for its full-moon parties but I went there when the party had just finished so the prices were reasonable again and the island was quiet and peaceful. I loved Kho Phangan. I explored the island by bicycle one day and with a motorbike the next day and it was lovely.

I walked a lot, I had dogs following me and I arrived at amazing places that made all the heat and the effort worthy. I even found swings and ropes which I love, and I saw sunset from one small beach that I found on my way to Ban Haad Rin.

From Kho Phangan, not only will I take home the memories of good places, but also some good friends that joined me to Koh Tao and they also came to do some yoga.

Koh Tao

Koh Tao was my last stop before Bangkok and I spent one week there just doing yoga. I needed to think and to prepare myself for the way back home and yoga did an awesome job.
I have to thank Ocean Sound Yoga and Cynthia for making my journey there so incredible. She inspired me and I will never forget the experience with such an amazing yogi. Besides, I met also beautiful people and beautiful souls that will always be in my memory.

Chalok

Chalok was the closest beach to the yoga studio. I went there almost every day after doing yoga to enjoy the quiteness of this place.

And this was my home for one week :)

Sairee Beach

Some days, I also went to Sairee walking. Sairee is busier than the other places but it's beautiful.

Other beautiful beaches

The last day I was in Koh Tao, I went to explore the island a little bit more. I did yoga and I found a really beautiful beach, quiet and with a lovely swing hanging above the ocean.

I told my family that I couldn't leave Koh Tao because there was a storm so I couldn't go to Bangkok and buy tickets to go to Spain. Although that was true, this had happened two days before I left Koh Tao so when I was flying to Spain they still thought that I was in Koh Tao and that I wouldn't be able to make it for Christmas.

Bangkok

The boat ride from Koh Tao to the pier from which we would go to Bangkok was horrible. The ocean was messy, lots of waves, there was water coming from the roof. I pictured myself sinking in the ocean quite a few times but we finally made it. I caught the boat and bus to Bangkok with Natasha. I met her doing yoga and she was going back home too after some months travelling. So at least, I wasn't on my own when the boat was sailing through a rough sea with crazy waves.

Finally, and after catching a bus to Bangkok, we arrived at the busy city at 4am. We ate something and then she went to her hotel and I went to see if I could find the guesthouse that was supposed to have my surfboards.

I arrived there and, not surprisingly, it was closed; I slept a little bit on the floor, surrounded by cats, and some hours later, they let me in.

Bangkok is a crowded city, but it's also charming. There are lots of places to get good food and my homestay was lovely. I had river views which were cool, taking into account that I spent the whole day going up and down the city.

The second day that I was in Bangkokg, I went for a walk in the morning and I ended up in a narrow street, with just cats and Thai people and I found a gymn. I saw them doing thai boxing and I asked if I could get a class.

So yeah, I went to a thai boxing class with amazing trainers. The guys were all lovely and I had the best time. I got so tired that's true but I felt so good :)

Next day, I flew home. No one knew I was going back except for my boyfriend (he had to buy my return tickets because my credit card stopped working and I couldn't use it - lucky me that I didn't spend much and I had enough cash otherwise I wouldn't have been able to even eat haha).

I arrived to Barcelona at night, and Eloi was waiting there. I hadn't seen him in a long time so it was so good to hug him again. Then we started driving to my town and we arrived there at 1:30am. My parents were sleeping but I rang anyways. My mom got up but she didn't recognise me and didn't open the door, so I was waiting in the street, at night in the middle of winter with summer clothes haha. Then my dad answered and didn't recognise me either. Finally they opened the door and they were waiting upstairs crying. They couldn't believe I was back and it was Christmas. They hadn't seen me for a year so they couldn't be any happier I guess :)
